I'm back!

Hi everyone and I'm so sorry I've been away so long and I don't really have a decent excuse for just disappearing without trace but I'm back now and ready to update!

I finished my first year of college in June, all all in a good year with a few health struggles along the way but not as difficult to keep up as I'd originally thought. The really big news is that since I last updated I met an amazing man who I fell absolutely head over heels in love w
ith and we're now engaged and getting married next year!!!!

Health wise, I finally got my NJ tube inserted without problem and it was an absolute blessing- I gained weight, had much more energy and generally felt amazing! Sadly it became blocked and had to be removed so I'm now awaiting a permanent surgically inserted J tube. In the meantime I'm on a liquid diet and generally doing OK. About 2 weeks ago I decided to order some Peptamen and found some on Ebay fairly cheap - which turned out not to be cheap once tax had been added on. During this time I went pretty much elemental, living off peptamen, tea, coffee, squash, stock and sweeties. My GERD almost completely disappeared and w
ith it, the horrific spitting up and evil cramping and diarrhea. I contacted my dietician and after lots of passing around
through the staff I was designated a new dietician who has prescribed the UK version. This version is slightly lower in calories (1kcal/ml) but shouldn't need watering down as I did with the previous and they should arrive on Thursday!

I went out for a friend's birthday meal last night and successfully just sipped my beer while everyone else ate, the staff didn't make too big a deal about me just having a drink aside from one waiter who kept offering me a plate of things to try. I kept saying no and he got quite pushy but eventually gave up - I couldn't be bothered to explain that if I even just had one bite I'd be running straight
for the bathroom and the entire night would be ruined! I didn't get to bed until 2am and slept pretty much solidly until 4pm today! Shocking I kno
w but I was so exhausted. Not a great deal of time to do a lot else today but Dave (my fiance)'s Mum has just collected 6 rescued ex battery hens so I went to see them, they don't have many feathers or are brave enough for cuddles yet but it was so lovely to watch them dustbathe and enjoying the daylight! Here is a photo of my new friends and Dave having a cuddle from the
naughty chicken who refused
to go back into her house until she made m
e race around several times trying to get her in - little minx! I think these are going to be real characters!

I've also started a Youtube channel which you can view at http://www.youtube.com/user/cluckycluck009 Very much a work in progress at the moment but I plan to upload more as time goes on. Please subscribe and let me know any requests for videos you may have.

I hope everyone is doing ok and I'll update again very shortly!

Take care monsters.
